Bega Tennis Club

Bega Tennis Club is a sports club located in Bega Valley Shire Council, Australia. Under new management, the club is now being managed by the Bega Valley Shire Council's Sport and Recreation Officer, in response to a lack of member participation on the club committee. The club's website will handle the booking of courts and memberships, with the Shire overseeing these operations.

To book a court at Bega Tennis Club, individuals can use the convenient online booking system. Upon booking, a unique pin code will be provided to gain access to the club's facilities. For aspiring tennis players, the club offers coaching services provided by Lee Patrick. Lee conducts the club's Hotshots Programme, catering to junior players of all ages. Parents are encouraged to register their children with Lee via phone or email. Lee is a qualified Level 2 Professional Tennis Coach, possessing the necessary Working with Children's Check and level 2 First Aid Certificate.

Coaching sessions take place after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, Lee offers coaching under the “Active Kids Programme,” participating as a registered active kids provider.

Due to COVID-19, the Thursday Night Competition has been suspended since March 2020. However, a social group led by Anne Moore plays on Thursday nights, and another group led by John Willington plays on Wednesday nights. The Thursday Morning ladies group plays during each school term. Those interested in joining this group can contact Di Bacon, Wendy Collins, or Stacy Alcock.

Bega Tennis Club boasts seven synthetic grass courts and a two-story clubhouse. In August 2018, the club installed new LED lights, enhancing the playing conditions for evening matches.
