Beechworth Bowls Club

The Beechworth Bowls Club, located in the beautiful Indigo Shire, is a long-standing sports club that offers a fantastic lawn bowls experience. Established in 1903, it is one of the oldest bowling clubs in the area. Originally located at Queen Victoria Park, the club moved to its current home on the corner of Albert Rd and Harper St. This location has become a social hub for the community and is now the home of the popular BBC Barefoot Bowls Championship.

The Beechworth Bowls Club boasts a diverse membership, with players ranging from their 20s to their 90s. The club features a front grass green and a recently installed flood-lit synthetic back green, ensuring year-round playability. The combination of traditional and modern facilities makes it an ideal venue for bowlers of all skill levels.

The Beechworth Bowls Club has enjoyed great success in the Ovens & Murray Pennant Seasons over the past decade. They have won two A3 premierships in 2011-12 and 2014-15, a B3 leadingship in 2017-18, and have been runners-up in the A3 division twice in 2010-11 and 2013-14. These achievements reflect the club's commitment to excellence and competitive spirit.
