Barwon Valley Golf Club is a popular sports club located in Geelong, Victoria. Situated approximately 3 kilometres from the city centre, the club boasts an affordable and picturesque 18-hole public course. The course is bordered by the beautiful Barwon River on one side and wetlands teeming with abundant birdlife on the other.
The flat terrain of the course makes it suitable for both high and low handicap golfers, and walking the course is a breeze. However, for those who prefer, carts are available for hire. Spanning a length of 5540 metres, the course is meticulously maintained, with the greens being particularly renowned for their exceptionally high standard. Additionally, the majority of fairways are now Santa Anna couch, further enhancing the overall playing experience.
Barwon Valley Golf Club warmly welcomes both green fee players and new club members, and prides itself on maintaining a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for all. The clubhouse, complete with a bar and snacks on match days, provides the perfect place to relax and socialise after a round. The club also offers two practise putting greens, a chipping green, and an extensive 16-bay driving range, with 8 undercover bays and a separate grass tee off area.
