Barossa Tigers Junior Basketball Club is a community-based, not-for-profit sporting club located in The Barossa Council area in South Australia. The club is dedicated to the development and promotion of basketball for children aged 6–17 years old. The club's primary focus is to provide a fun and inclusive environment for young basketballers to learn and grow their skills while building friendships within the local community.
The club strives to encourage as many children as possible to participate in basketball, regardless of their skill level or ability. They understand that each player is unique and cater to the varying levels of confidence and ability amongst their members. The club values individual growth and team development alike, nurturing both aspects to ensure every player has a positive experience and feels supported.
Training sessions take place in Nuriootpa, while games are played at “The REX” Aquatic and Fitness Centre in Tanunda. The club provides opportunities for children to improve their basketball skills through regular training sessions and competitive games against other clubs in the region.
Barossa Tigers Junior Basketball Club also promotes good sportsmanship and adheres to the ASC codes of behaviour for sport. They expect players, coaches, spectators, and officials to uphold these codes to maintain a respectful and positive game environment. Bullying, discrimination, and unsportsmanlike conduct are not tolerated within the club.
