Bargara Little Athletics

Bargara Little Athletics is a sports club located in the Bundaberg Regional area of Queensland, Australia. Affiliated with Little Athletics Queensland, the club has been serving the Bargara community and surrounding areas for 28 years. In 2019, Bargara Little Athletics celebrated its 25th anniversary, reflecting its longstanding commitment to providing a fun and family-friendly fitness activity.

Operating during Winter, which typically runs from March/April to September, Bargara Little Athletics is a part of the LAQ Central North Region. The club welcomes a diverse range of participants, starting from the Tiny Tots programme for 3 and 4-year-olds. Athletes can then progress through various age groups, with categories ranging from Under 6 to Under 17. Additionally, Bargara Little Athletics offers a Senior Programme for interested adults, who are required to pay a club fee of $40 and register as independent athletes with Queensland Athletics (QA), not through LAQ.

Registration costs for 2023 are as follows: $55 for Tiny Tots and $130 for athletes in the U6-17 age group. The registration period begins on February 12th, with online sign-ups available. Please note that online payments will incur a small administration system fee. The club accepts Fair Play Vouchers, making it accessible to a wider range of individuals.

Uniform shirts and hats are also available for purchase from the canteen, with shirts priced at $35 and hats at $15.

Bargara Little Athletics holds its events on Sunday mornings, starting at 9am. The session begins with a warm-up session, followed by age group events. The club's canteen operates on a cash-only basis, providing drinks and food for participants and spectators. As a community-led sports club, Bargara Little Athletics relies on the support of parents and volunteers to ensure its successful operation.
