At Ballarat Sebastopol Rush BMX Club, they promote a family atmosphere and encourage parents, siblings, and other family members to come and support their riders at the track. Riders of all levels and ages are welcomed to come and give BMX a try. The club currently has members as young as 4 years old and as old as 40+. Whether you want to participate at a club level or take part in open level meetings and championship events across Australia, there are opportunities for everyone.
Membership options at the club include the 4 Month Licence, 12 Month Licence, and Sprocket Licence for members aged 7 and under. There is also the option to sign up as a Volunteer member or upgrade your CX & MTB licence. Pricing and sign-up details can be found on the BMX Australia website.
Ballarat Rush race plates can be ordered at Rush Industries, while club jerseys can be obtained by completing the merchandise order form and sending it to the club. Race pants and gloves are available for purchase at various locations, with discounts offered to club members by Reckless Race Concepts.
To get started at the club, riders will need a bike, full-face helmet, long finger gloves, and long pants. If you don't have a bike or helmet, the club has equipment available for members to borrow, thanks to the support of the Ballarat City Council. The Ballarat Sebastopol BMX Club is located at Marty Busch Reserve via Burnett St, Sebastopol. When entering via Burnett Street, members should turn right and head around the football oval. The track will be located on the right towards the cricket oval.
