Avalon Soccer Club takes immense pride in its community-minded approach and family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the challenges posed by COVID and inclement weather over the past few years, the club continues to thrive. With over 1200 registered players ranging from 5 to 70 years old, across more than 90 teams, Avalon Soccer Club offers the opportunity for players of all levels to enjoy the beautiful game. The club owes its success to a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure a seamless playing and coaching environment.
As the 40th anniversary of the amalgamation of the Avalon Junior and Senior Clubs was celebrated in 2022, Avalon Soccer Club remains committed to delivering the best possible playing and coaching experience within its means. The club is fortunate to have a talented Coaching Director and Club Coaching Coordinators who prioritise player development and coach education at all skill levels in the club. Avalon Soccer Club also offers various player and coaching development opportunities within the Avalon community.
Careel Bay in North Avalon serves as the picturesque home ground for Avalon Soccer Club. With two full-size fields and a large dedicated mini-field area, Careel Bay provides the perfect setting for players of all ages to enjoy the game. The club's own clubhouse includes excellent BBQ facilities and a canteen that is renowned for serving the “best coffee to be found at a football ground anywhere!
Avalon Soccer Club is one of 17 clubs participating in games and competitions organised by the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA). The club's commitment to player development has led to numerous accomplishments in recent seasons, including 18 Semi Finalists, 10 Grand Finalists, and 5 Grand Final Winners in 2022. Additionally, Avalon Soccer Club has had the honour of having 3 teams recognised as the MWFA Club of the Year in their respective divisions.
