Avalon Beach RSL Fishing Club

Welcome to Avalon Beach RSL Fishing Club, a friendly and welcoming sports club located in Sydney, Australia. We are a group of like-minded fisher-people who are based at Avalon Beach RSL Club. We encourage new members to join our club and also welcome juniors to participate in our fishing activities.

Our fishing competitions start every third Friday of the month at 5:00pm. Competitors gather on the following Sunday at 2:00pm for a 2:30pm weigh-in at Avalon Beach RSL. The competitions offer various divisions for Deep Sea, Rock & Beach, and Estuary fishing, catering to men, women, and juniors. Each month, anglers are challenged to catch the nominated species, referred to as the “Cup Fish.

” Participants present their catch to the weighmaster on the Sunday at the RSL.

After each competition, anglers, partners, and children meet at the RSL to review the scores and enjoy a BBQ while engaging in friendly rivalry. As Avalon Beach RSL Fishing Club is affiliated with Avalon Beach RSL, our members have access to the modern facilities provided by the RSL, including the beer garden, bistro, bars, and function rooms.
