The Australian Trade College North Brisbane, also known as ATCNB, is highly regarded as the Trade School of Excellence on Brisbane’s northside. This unique sports club offers a distinctive approach by integrating Queensland’s Certificate of Education (QCE) curriculum with trade training and apprenticeship services. Located in Scarborough, ATCNB provides the ultimate launching pad for students looking to pursue trade careers.
Unlike traditional schools, ATCNB is a purpose-built, multi-million dollar, co-educational Year 11 and Year 12 trade training centre. The college prides itself on offering a structured and well-supported trade and business-focused curriculum that leads to strong QCE attainment and employment pathways to trade jobs. ATCNB believes in the philosophy that students can achieve their potential through various pathways, ensuring every opportunity to “Nail the Connexion.
The college boasts impressive statistics with 100% of Year 12 students graduating in 2022 with a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), while 90% graduated with a School-Based Apprenticeship. This outstanding achievement showcases the dedication and commitment ATCNB has to its students.
ATCNB is led by a great leadership team and offers a hands-on learning experience blended with traditional schooling, allowing students to learn a trade and gain a Queensland Certificate of Education. The college has helped many students kickstart their careers, such as securing full-time apprenticeships. Todd Woollett, a student parent, highly recommends ATCNB for senior secondary students transitioning into the workplace.
The college operates during normal hours throughout the school terms. From Monday to Friday, the hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, with Wednesday being a shorter day from 8:30 am to 12:40 pm.
Located on Gubbi Gubbi Country, ATCNB acknowledges and respects the Traditional Custodians of the land, sea, and community. They pay respect to the Elders, both past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
For those interested in studying at ATCNB, current students and parents, or employers looking for skilled trade graduates, the college offers a range of resources and information on their website. Additionally, they provide opportunities for enrolment, campus tours, and assistance in starting a successful trade career.
ATCNB is proud to be a part of IntoWork Australia, a leading organisation in workforce participation and community engagement. They are affiliated with other reputable institutions, such as AGA CTC, FindStaff, HTN, Interact Australia, iTFE, Kestrel Recruitment, MAS National, MRAEL, Stockdale Personnel, Work & Training, to name a few.
