The Armidale Aero Club is dedicated to promoting and supporting aviation and related social activities for Armidale and district pilots, their families, and aviation enthusiasts. The club has approximately 60 members and new members are always welcome. We have both Flying and Social memberships available.
The Club owns a well maintained Cessna C172M,that can be flown by all suitably qualified club members for local flights as well as for longer trips away.
At the clubhouse, we hold a General Meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 07:30pm. A monthly Pilot Proficiency Day and B-B-Q lunch is normally held on the Sunday following the General Meeting. Pilots accumulate points at our monthly Proficiency Day towards the 'Pilot of the Year' trophy. The 'Steinhardt Shield' is also awarded for the most improved pilot of the year.
Other club activities include Trivia nights, social functions , group fly-aways and aviation industry related Safety Seminars.
