We are a group of friendly people who love swimming in our beautiful Port Phillip Bay and ocean beaches. Age is no barrier, along with ability. Whilst we all try to swim our best, competitiveness is not an essential part of our group makeup. As long as you can swim, we will surely have someone who will swim at your pace.
From around October to April, weather permitting, we swim every Sunday morning at 8. 30am and Wednesday evening at 5. 30pm (sharp) from the McCrae car park to Anthony’s Nose and back. Afterwards on Sunday, a coffee and chat at the Blue Bay Cafe (see the map below for specific locations).
Many Aquaholics participate in the various Bay and Ocean swims, e. g. Mornington, Sorrento, Dromana, Lorne Pier 2 Pub, Pt Leo, and a small group even travel afar to do the Byron Bay Swim.
If you wish to improve your swimming and/or prepare for a Bay/Ocean swim, we have a training night on Monday nights (excepting school and public holidays). The session begins at 8pm for an hour at the Rosebud Aquatic Centre in Colchester Rd.
