In 2017/18, Applecross Cricket Club formed its first ever Womens Cricket side, which achieved immediate success. The ACC Pink side won the inaugural Sunset Scorchers flag in their first season. The club currently has two womens teams competing in the Perth Scorchers Womens League, with over 70 women participating. Women interested in cricket are encouraged to join the ACC and be a part of this successful and growing programme.
As an amateur sporting club, Applecross Cricket Club relies on generous sponsorships to enable their teams to play cricket each year. The club emphasises that cricket is an expensive sport, particularly with the recent launch of their new Turf wicket and the addition of the womens team.
