The All Japan Budo Federation – Nippon Seibukan Dojo is a sports club based in Townsville, Australia. It is an international martial arts federation dedicated to the promotion and preservation of traditional Japanese and Okinawan Budo and bujutsu worldwide.
Founded in 1988, the Australian headquarters of the All Japan Budo Federation – Nippon Seibukan Dojo aims to preserve and teach the traditional martial arts of Japan and Okinawa. The dojo offers a training style called Goju-Ryu Karatedo, one of the four styles originally established in Okinawa.
In addition to Goju-Ryu Karatedo, the dojo also offers training in Nihon Jujitsu, Toyama Ryu Iaido, Kendo (The Way of the Sword), Seibukan Judo (The Gentle Way), Ryukyu Kobudo (Weapons) arts, and Koshiki (Hard Contact) Karatedo. The training sessions are conducted under the direction of Sensei Michael Creedy, who holds the rank of Shichidan (7th Degree) in Karatedo, Shichidan (7th Degree) in Jujitsu, and Dan Grading in Kendo and Judo.
Sensei Creedy has been recognised and certified by the Dai Nippon Butokukai, Kyoto Japan, and has received numerous awards for his contributions to teaching martial arts and his community. He and the members of the dojo also visit Japan each year to train in their chosen Budo style and engage in a cultural exchange experience.
