Algester Little Athletics Centre

Com. au Algester Little Athletics Centre is a vibrant and inclusive sports club located in the heart of Brisbane. With a rich history spanning 40 years, we have been dedicated to providing little athletics opportunities for children aged 3 to 16 years.

Our Centre prides itself on creating a supportive and fun environment where children can develop their athletic skills and build lifelong friendships. We believe that every child has the potential to be an athlete, and we strive to nurture their talents and passions.

At Algester Little Athletics Centre, we offer a wide range of athletic disciplines for our members to explore and excel in. From sprints and long-distance running to jumps and throws, our comprehensive programme caters to all abilities and interests. Our experienced coaches and officials provide guidance and support to ensure that each child can reach their full potential.

Our Centre's main competition day is on Saturday afternoons, starting from 19 August 2023 at 2. 30pm. It is a dynamic and energetic event where children can showcase their skills and compete against peers of similar age and ability. Parents and spectators are encouraged to cheer and support their little athletes, creating an exciting atmosphere.

Algester Little Athletics Centre is proud to be affiliated with the Queensland Little Athletics Association. This affiliation allows our members to participate in regional and state-level competitions and opens up opportunities for further development and progression in athletics.

We also believe in the importance of community involvement and volunteerism. Our Centre offers a comprehensive volunteer programme, where parents and guardians can contribute to the smooth running of our club and gain valuable skills and experiences. Volunteers play an integral role in creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for our little athletes.
