Albany Creek Pony Club Inc is a sports club located in Albany Creek, a suburb on the Northside of Brisbane. Situated just 2 minutes away from the Albany Creek shops, the club offers a warm and friendly environment for horse riding enthusiasts of all levels.
The club's main objective is to encourage people of all ages to enjoy horse riding in various disciplines and at any skill level. They provide instruction in riding and horsemanship, as well as teach members the proper care required to keep their horses in optimum health. Good sportsmanship is also promoted throughout all activities and events.
Members of Albany Creek Pony Club are required to own a horse or have a strong interest in learning more about horses and their care and training. They are expected to follow the guidance and instructions of their assigned instructors during rallies and offer assistance to fellow members when needed.
The club boasts a range of facilities to accommodate their activities. These include a clubhouse and amenities, a round yard, a wash bay area, timber day yards, and fully fenced facilities. A sand arena is also available for training and competition purposes.
Under the leadership of Chief Instructor Nicole Condon, the club ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all riders. The club has a specific uniform policy that must be adhered to at all times during competitions. Navy blue jodphurs or stockman cut trousers are to be worn, along with a navy blue club polo or sun-smart shirt. Approved riding boots with smooth soles and a black saddle cloth are also required.
Club badges and a club cap/hat are optional.
Albany Creek Pony Club Inc is proud of its community involvement and appreciates the support received during times of need, such as the flood damage suffered in February 2022. The club extends its gratitude to the Moreton Bay Regional Council for their flood recovery grant and acknowledges the contribution of their members and community volunteers.
