Aikido Kenkyukai International Fudoshin Dojo Sunshine Coast, also known as Fudoshin AiKi Dojo, is a sports club located in Noosa Heads, Queensland, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Australia. The dojo is a proud member of Aikikai Japan and is influenced by the teachings of the late Yamaguchi Seigo shihan and Takeda Yoshinobu shihan, both esteemed 8th dan instructors.
Fudoshin Dojo has a long-standing relationship with the Takeda dojo, A. K. I, Shonan Aikido Renmei, and other Aikido networks, making it a respected representative of these organisations. The primary goal of Fudoshin AiKi Dojo is to instil integrity and quality character traits in all of its students.
The founder and head instructor of Fudoshin AiKi Dojo is Chicko Xerri, also known as Chicko Sensei. Having started his Aikido journey in 1974, Chicko Sensei has an extensive background in the martial art. He has studied Aikido exclusively under Japanese masters in both Australia and Japan. With 49 uninterrupted years of experience, Chicko Sensei holds a Roku-dan (6 Dan) rank and is certified by Aikikai and Doshu UESHIBA.
Chicko Sensei has had the privilege of training with renowned instructors such as Yamaguchi Seigo Shihan, Takeda Yoshinobu Shihan, and Sugano Seiichi Shihan. He has also participated in demonstrations honouring Doshu Ueshiba, held annually in Kamakura, Japan. Chicko Sensei's dedication and expertise make him a highly respected figure in the Aikido community.
