Aikido Australia – Sydney City Centre is a sports club located in the heart of Sydney, dedicated to promoting and supporting the teachings of Aikido. The club is affiliated with the Takemusu Aiki Association Inc. , a non-profit organisation that works towards spreading the practise of Aikido.
Saburo Takayasu Sensei, a 7th Dan Shihan, serves as the Chief Instructor and President of the Takemusu Aiki Association Inc. in Australia. Under his guidance, the club has grown to include several dojos in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Aikido is a modern martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba, also known as the founder, who transformed it from a battle technique into a spiritual path.
