Adelaide Superkart Club

The Adelaide Superkart Club Inc. is the premier superkarting club in the District Council of Mallala in South Australia. Affiliated with Motorsport Australia (formerly CAMS), the club conducts events in a strictly controlled environment, adhering to the rules and regulations set by Motorsport Australia.

The club was originally formed in 1971 as the Adelaide Kart Club, arising from members of the GoKart Club of South Australia who sought to promote long circuit kart racing. The home track of the club is Mallala Motorsport Park, located 55 kilometres north of Adelaide. Mallala Motorsport Park is a 2. 7 km flat track featuring a variety of turns and straights, making it an ideal racing venue for superkarts.

Superkarting offers participants the closest experience to Formula One motor racing, and the Adelaide Superkart Club provides an accessible and affordable motorsport opportunity for its members. The club welcomes members ranging in age from 12 to 70 and fosters a friendly and supportive club environment.

Superkarts can be relatively affordable, with prices ranging from $4,000 for a used 125cc Rotax Non Gearbox kart to $40,000 for the high-performance 250cc International Gearbox karts. Superkarts race on major motor racing circuits across Australia, including Mallala, Mac Namara Park, Phillip Island, Eastern Creek, and more.

The Adelaide Superkart Club is dedicated to recognising and rewarding the achievements of its members both on and off the track. Each year, the club presents a variety of trophies and awards, including the CAMS Superkart Cup, Club Championship, and Driver of the Year. The club also hosts the Australian Superkart Grand Prix, an event that originally took place in 1964 at MacNamara Park in Mt Gambier. This event will continue to be held annually at the MacNamara Park circuit.

In 2022, the club is proud to be hosting the first round of the Superkart Nationals series in South Australia at The Bend Motorsport Park, with the final to be held in [location].
