Active Eight is a sports club in Brisbane that offers individual and group therapy for kids of all abilities. They are an inclusive NDIS therapy and activity hub, welcoming babies, toddlers, kids, and teens. Their services and programmes are designed to work towards social, emotional, physical, creative, community, learning, and support career aspirations and goals.
Active Eight believes that therapy should be enjoyable and stimulating, so they offer a range of therapies that are disguised as play. Their highly qualified allied health professionals provide 1:1 therapy sessions that are tailored to meet each child's needs in a fun and engaging way. The result is more engaged kids, happier families, enthusiastic adolescents, and confident adults.
The club offers a wide range of allied health therapies, including occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy, psychology, counselling, yoga therapy, dietetics and nutrition, dance therapy, and block therapy. These therapies help children and teens improve their fine motor skills, communication abilities, physical abilities, mindset, emotional well-being, and more.
If you have concerns about your child, Active Eight provides a range of assessments to help you gain an accurate understanding of their needs. These assessments include cognitive assessment, functional capacity assessment, movement assessment, nutrition assessment, and speech and language skill assessment.
Active Eight also offers various programmes that give children and teens the opportunity to express themselves, make new friends, and develop new interests. These programmes include cheer club, dance, yogacise, drama, dojo, gymnastics, food fundamentals, ninja warrior, performance troupe, SOS foodies, and tennis.
For those who can't make it to the clinic, Active Eight offers a telehealth service, allowing sessions to be conducted in the comfort of your own home.
The club is located at Ground Floor, 67 High Street, Toowong, QLD, 4066, Australia. They can be contacted at (07) 3871 3886 or admin@activeeight. Com. au.
