Access All Abilities Community NAB AFL Auskick Programme is a sports club in Brisbane dedicated to providing an inclusive and engaging experience for kids and parents. As Australia's leading participation programme, NAB AFL Auskick aims to help kids get active, develop important life skills, and form lasting friendships.
The programme offers an introduction to Australian Football through game-based activities that make learning feel like playing. Children can start participating in Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5, regardless of their previous experience with Aussie Rules. Parents are also encouraged to get involved and have various options to participate.
NAB AFL Auskick sessions are designed to be both fun and educational. Kids will engage in organised chaos, learning to play and enjoy the game while improving their confidence and physical activity levels. To ensure safe and fair play, Auskickers are divided into age groups, and there are optional all-girls groups available. The sessions run for only one hour per week, and there is no need for expensive equipment – kids can wear whatever they feel comfortable in.
In addition to the enjoyable experience on the field, NAB AFL Auskickers receive exclusive benefits. They will receive a unique pack of footy goodies, an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice (including access to games! And the incredible opportunity to play halftime at AFL and AFLW elite matches alongside their footy heroes.
Parents play a crucial role in creating the fun and inclusive environment of NAB AFL Auskick. They can get involved by coordinating activities, volunteering, or simply encouraging their children. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local Auskick coordinator to learn more about how they can participate.
For those eager to take their Auskick experience to the next level, there is a chance to join Team NAB AFL Auskick. Registered Auskickers can enter a competition to win a spot in the team, which offers exciting prizes such as a Grand Final Week experience, the opportunity to present a medal to their footy heroes at the Grand Final, and $5,000 spending money for the team captain.
