The Dragons Volleyball Club was established in November 2009 as a community based volleyball club that offers an opportunity for all to play volleyball at various levels, from elite to recreational, and all ages from juniors to masters. All this in a fun and supportive environment with an active social calendar.
The Club competes in Volleyball ACT (VACT) competitions conducted between March and November each year. We also offer support to teams in numerous weekend and single day tournaments throughout Australia as well as UC teams entering the various University Games.
The Dragons Volleyball Club has a level 3 accreditation under the “Good Sports” programme, promoting a responsible attitude towards alcohol, and we aim to provide a healthy, vibrant and family-friendly environment for our players, members, and supporters. We have chosen to join over 6,500 clubs across Australia taking part in the Australian Drug Foundation’s Good Sports programme.
The Men’s Open Leagues are played on Monday nights and the Women’s Open Leagues being played on Tuesday nights, the Recreational (Social Mixed) Leagues are played on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
The highest level of volleyball competition in the ACT is played on Sunday afternoons, the Capital Volleyball League (CVL) has two levels top & Division One for both Men & Women.
VACT offers a summer beach competition conducted between December and March each year.
If you interesed in playing it's best to come along to one of our training sessions and give it a go. These sessions are open to everyone, and we’ll help you find the right team at the appropriate competition level.
