Little Boomers Basketball Lakemba's 5v5 Kids Basketball Competitions are perfect for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12. This program, created by Sports and Exercise Scientists from the University of Technology Sydney, is all about providing children with the best possible experience. Our main focus is to help children become more active, confident, and skilled in the game of basketball. It's a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn game skills while also getting fit and having a great time.
Our junior basketball competition night is where the real action happens. This is where children have the chance to develop their game skills in preparation for joining a local club or simply improving their skills and fitness. The full-court games played during our competitions are intense and a great way for kids to burn off some energy. Our experienced coaches are there to teach them everything they need to know about basketball rules and important components such as decision-making, positioning, and teamwork. We want to make sure our little players become good teammates and are prepared for the pressures of a real competition.
Participating in our 5v5 Kids Basketball Competitions has so many benefits for your child. They'll learn significant skills like sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership that individual sports may not focus on. Our program also helps improve physical fitness and basketball skills. Plus, all of our classes are held indoors, providing a safe environment for children to learn and play. We want parents to feel safe as well, which is why all of our coaches have valid working with children checks and qualifications.
Enrolling your child in our 8-week program is easy. The cost is $199 for new children and $184 for renewals, which includes a basketball jersey. Our classes last for 45 minutes, and parents are required to be present and supervise their child during each class. Our program is suitable for children with no prior basketball experience as well as those who have played before. We cover warm-up games and a range of basketball skills designed to improve your child's fundamental skills. Every two weeks, we introduce new skills to ensure that children are progressing and developing throughout the program. We run our program each term and also offer holiday camps during school breaks. And if your child is feeling a bit shy, you are more than welcome to join in and help them become more comfortable.
