Four by Four Bhangra Group, started in 1994, is all about bringing the traditional Bhangra dance from Punjab to life in Kent. Gurdish Sall and his team, including Marni Dhinsa, Suki Randhawa, Sunny Sandher, and Billy Sandher, founded the group after having performed with the acclaimed Jugnu Bhangra group. From just four dancers, they've grown into one of Europe's top Bhangra dance groups, performing at many community events and festivals in the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Gurdish Sall didn't just want to entertain; he aimed to engage the community. Whether through their high-energy performances at corporate events or their tailored team-building activities, Four by Four makes a mark. They're experienced in working with top UK companies, making them a go-to for adding flair to team away-days.
Educational workshops? They've got those covered too. Four by Four provides sessions in Bhangra dance and dhol drumming, tailored to schools and institutions. These workshops, from half-day to residency programs, often end with students performing, complete with costumes and drums, at community events.
Festivals? Four by Four has got those locked down. They've performed at local and international festivals, offering dance performances, drumming workshops, and sessions on traditional Bhangra outfits and its history, all while getting the audience involved.
They also run a Youth Club in Gravesend every Friday during term time, giving youngsters aged 12-18 a chance to dive into Bhangra dancing in a positive space.
Gurdish Sall and Four by Four don’t just dance. They inspire and engage the Kent community, whether at corporate gigs, in schools, at festivals, or through their Youth Club. Their passion for Bhangra dancing resonates in everything they do.
