With a highly qualified, friendly, and enthusiastic team of teachers, 4S Swim School believes that the best way to learn to swim is through structured planned lessons that incorporate fun and positive feedback to both pupils and parents.

All the teachers at 4S Swim School are fully qualified and hold the relevant Swim England qualifications. They also hold an up-to-date First Aid qualification together with the NRASTAC RLSS rescue test or the NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification). Additionally, all teachers are DBS checked and approved to work with children, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

With over 100 years of experience between them, all teachers are Swim England level 2 qualified. Lead swimming teacher Linda Sprigge swims competitively for Club, County, and Team GB at Masters level, showcasing the dedication and expertise of the team. Their passion for teaching ensures that each child receives the best possible start in swimming.

When new pupils are introduced to swimming lessons, 4S Swim School understands that they may feel anxious. To create a safe and comfortable environment, one of their fully qualified Swim England swimming teachers will be in the water with the pupils from beginner to Stage 3 or 4. In addition, there is an assistant teacher present in most beginner and LTS 1 classes, ensuring that children feel secure and relaxed while learning.

With small class sizes of up to 6 pupils, each child receives individual attention to help them feel at ease and progress in their aquatic skills. By following the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming, 4S Swim School continually assesses pupils and places them in classes that match their abilities. This all-inclusive programme takes non-swimmers from their first splash in the pool to developing confidence and competence in the water. The result is the development of a wide range of skills that create competent, confident, strong, and safe swimmers.

In addition to regular lessons, 4S Swim School offers lane swimming, private swimming lessons, crash courses, RLSS Drowning Prevention Week activities, and swimming sessions for Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.
