Our charter vessel, named 'Let Er Rip', is a top-of-the-line luxury fishing boat equipped with twin 250hp Mercury Verado four-stroke engines. With its spacious and comfortable fully enclosed cabin, you can relax and enjoy the ride while taking in the breathtaking views. The boat also boasts modern navigation equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey.
While our primary goal is to help you snag that big catch, we also welcome non-fishers to partake in the adventure and soak in the awe-inspiring wildlife and scenery that Apollo Bay has to offer. During the tour, get ready to spot an array of marine creatures, including Dolphins, Gannets, Albatross, Penguins, Seals, Mutton Birds, Terns, Krill, Jellyfish, and if luck is on our side, even Whales.
The main fish species we target are the ever-popular Flathead, Snapper, and Gummy Shark, which are available year-round. Additionally, from April to September, we also offer exciting Bluefin Tuna charters for those seeking an extra challenge. Our captain, Daniel Kent, is a local expert with deep knowledge of the region and possesses tournament-grade fishing skills. Rest assured, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned angler, Captain Kent will ensure you have the best experience possible.
You don't need to worry about your fishing gear, as we provide everything necessary for a successful fishing expedition. However, if you prefer to bring your own equipment, feel free to do so. To ensure a comfortable outing, remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, wet/weather clothing, a camera to capture those memorable moments, and of course, your preferred food and drinks. If you require a fishing license, please obtain one prior to the tour.
Safety is our top priority, especially for our younger passengers. Life jackets will be provided for children under 10 years old, and for those above 10 years, wearing life jackets during times of 'Heightened Risk' is mandatory. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, we will promptly notify you and offer the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
While we cannot guarantee a catch, our dedicated team will go above and beyond to assist you on your fishing journey. If you tend to experience seasickness, consider taking the necessary precautions, such as sea-sickness tablets, and avoid excessive alcohol intake to fully enjoy the tour.
