Burley Griffin Canoe Club (BGCC) is excited to announce the upcoming Burley Griffin 24HR Relay Paddle Challenge, set to take place on December 7th and 8th, 2024. Paddlers of all ages, above 15 years old, are welcome to participate in this thrilling event. Whether you prefer to go solo or team up with friends for a relay, there's a category for everyone to enjoy. Early bird entry fees are available until December 3rd, so make sure to secure your spot before the deadline.
The challenge will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will continue for a full 24 hours, with competitors having the option to paddle for 16 or all 24 hours. Juniors under 15 years old are also allowed to join in the fun, with special regulations in place for their safety. The racecourse consists of a 4.7 km lap on the Molonglo River, offering a mix of excitement and beautiful scenery for all participants.
