The Vancouver Hawks Field Hockey Club is thrilled to announce the upcoming Junior Spring Season for young players in Vancouver, Canada. This season promises a fantastic opportunity for players aged U5 to U18 to dive into the world of field hockey with enthusiasm and passion. From April to June, participants can look forward to engaging in fun and inclusive training sessions on high-quality turf fields. For our younger players (U5-U10), one session per week is all it takes to get started on the right foot. In contrast, our older athletes (U11-U18) will have the chance to hone their skills with a weeknight practice and a weekend game against rival clubs from the Lower Mainland.
The Vancouver Hawks pride themselves on creating a welcoming environment for newcomers of all ages. Whether you're just starting out or have been playing for years, there's a place for you in our vibrant community. Junior players will have the chance to showcase their talents in the Greater Vancouver Junior Field Hockey League (GVJFHL), where girls compete in one-year age groups, and boys in two-year categories. Weekend games, held on Saturdays or Sundays, will see our teams alternating between home matches in Vancouver and away fixtures around the region.
Friendly reminder - take note of long weekends, as practice and training sessions may be rescheduled to accommodate these dates. Before diving headfirst into the action, all participants are required to obtain or renew their FHBC membership. This essential step ensures that all our athletes are covered by insurance during sanctioned field hockey activities throughout British Columbia.
