The Magpies Junior Football Club, a local Auskick club in Canberra, is excited to announce the opening of registrations for the 2024 season! Whether you're a boy, girl, or part of a mixed team, we welcome players of all ages to join us for an action-packed season of Australian Rules Football.

Boys and mixed games will primarily take place on Saturdays, while girls' competitions will mainly be held on Sundays. The registration fee for the season is $180, but if you're an U8 or U9 player, we have a reduced rate of $120 just for you. For the little ones aged 5 to 8 who are eager to give AFL a try, our Ginninderry Auskick program is the perfect starting point. Designed for children who have not yet experienced AFL or are too young for the AFL Canberra junior community rounds starting in April, this program provides a fun and supportive environment for them to learn the game. It's worth mentioning that 7 or 8-year-olds might have such a blast that they decide to continue playing and join our Magpies Juniors Under 8's team!
The Ginninderry Auskick program will be held at the Ginninderry Community Recreation Park and will run for a total of 10 weeks. However, please do contact us first as the Auskick Rookie program will conclude at the end of May, and we want to ensure that there are still available spots for interested participants. The program will take breaks on Canberra Day long weekend and during the school holidays, so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.
