Peebles High School Sports Centre is excited to announce the upcoming 2024 Kelso Triathlon event happening on Sunday, August 11th. This event offers two categories for participants to choose from - the Sprint and Come & Tri.
In the Sprint category, participants will tackle a 750m swim, 22.90km cycle, and a 5.66km run, priced at £39. For those looking for a shorter challenge, the Come & Tri category includes a 400m swim, 10.88km cycle, and a 2.84km run, priced at £29.
The Kelso route is simply stunning, situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders amidst picturesque countryside. Cyclists will face open main roads with challenging climbs and exhilarating downhill sections. Runners will follow a circular route around the north of the town, passing by historic landmarks such as Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey.
Detailed start times, race briefings, and additional information will be provided to competitors prior to the event. Parking will be available at the nearby primary school and doctor's surgery for added convenience.
