The Ravensthorpe Handgun Club invites all amateur shooters to showcase their skills at the 2024 Fly Nationals Championships. The event will be held at the Wanneroo Shooting Complex in Perry Road, PINJAR. Sign-in and gun weighing will start at 7 am, followed by a competition meeting at 8:00 am. The first precision target shoot kicks off at 8:30 am, so be sure to arrive early for a good spot.
Participants will compete under the Fly Shoot Official National Rules Revised 2022 No.2, with classes capped at 40 shooters for each LG & HG class, and 64 shooters for Rimfire. All shooting will be done off movable benches. There's a special prize up for grabs - a Competition Scope 15-55x52 provided by Nightforce. The lucky winner will be drawn on Monday, July 23rd. Registration fees are $50.00 per class (LG, HG, and RF), with juniors paying $20 per class. Make sure to bring cash as there will be no eftpos available on-site. To nominate for the event, email your details, class preferences, equipment info, and contact details to the organizer by 5.00 pm, Wednesday, July 17th, 2024.
The event will follow the SSAA Benchrest Fly rule book, with dedicated practice days available for participants to get familiar with the range and conditions. Remember to set your wind flags by 7:30 am on competition day and come prepared for competitive shooting. A BBQ lunch and beverages are included in the entry fee, but feel free to bring along your personal snacks and drinks as no other options will be available on-site.
