1861 Lifestyle Centre gym

1861 Lifestyle Centre is a fully equipped fitness suite located on campus in South Shields. This gym is open not only to students and staff of the college but also to members of the public. With prices starting as low as 6 per month, it offers affordable membership options for everyone.

For South Tyneside College students, there are various membership options available. They can choose to sign up for 12 months at 50, 6 months at 25, 3 months at 16, or just 1 month at 6. College staff members have their own pricing options, with a yearly membership costing 65.

Members of the public can also join the gym, with a 12-month membership costing 95. They can also opt for a 6-month membership at 50, a 3-month membership at 25, or a special discounted rate for seniors (aged 60+) at 55.

The gym has convenient opening hours to accommodate the busy schedules of its members. It is open from 6am until 10pm on weekdays, and from 6am until 9pm on weekends. During these hours, the gym is accessible to all members, including the public, college staff, and students.

Please note that the gym does not currently offer personal training services. However, a gym induction must be booked before becoming a member. This ensures that all members are familiar with the equipment and can use it safely and effectively.
