About
Our school was officially opened as a co-educational establishment by the Queensland Government in 1914 with an enrolment of 18 students. Currently we have 305 students enrolled from preparatory year to Year 6.
Our students have a reputation for being well-mannered, disciplined achievers. St Bernard State School has a long history of high academic performance. We encourage our gifted students to achieve their best by offering excellence programmes aimed at extending their knowledge and understanding in a variety of areas. All students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular cultural, sporting and academic activities.
Furthermore, students who may be having difficulty in a particular learning area are quickly identified and given further help where required.
