Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club, located at the northern end of Maroubra Beach in Sydney, is a family-oriented sports club with a rich tradition in surf sports, lifesaving, and community service. Surrounded by open space and rocky headlands, Maroubra Beach is renowned for its surf culture and was declared a National Surf Reserve in 1996. The club fulfils its lifesaving responsibilities through rostered patrols, water safety for Sunday nipper activities, training, water safety, and IRB support for competitions and other community events. Highly skilled and proficient lifesavers, who have graduated from the club's training and education programmes, perform these lifesaving duties.
Maroubra SLSC also has a thriving surf sports programme. The club has several highly qualified, and professional coaches dedicated to supporting athletes who are serious about taking their training to the next level.
