The Riddells Creek Junior Mixed Basketball Association is a friendly sports club located in the Macedon Ranges Shire, Australia. The club's main goal is to promote fun, fitness, and good sportsmanship among its members, who range in age from 5 to 18 years old.
Families register their children with the association, and the coordinators then place the children into teams. The association strives to keep the competition as evenly matched as possible to ensure fair play. The teams play against each other at the Riddells Creek Leisure Centre for one season, which runs for two terms. At the end of each season, new teams are formulated for the next season.
The association provides team singlets, which are returned at the end of the season. The day-to-day operations of the programme are managed by a dedicated committee. Periodically, the association organises training sessions for coaches and development days for the children to further enhance their skills.
Riddells Creek Junior Mixed Basketball Association also has its own representative teams called the 'Riddell Raptors. ' These teams participate in tournaments across Victoria. Annually, tryouts are held for all registered players in the domestic competition to join the representative teams.
