The Junior Spacemens' home is in the great township of Parkes in Central West NSW.
Our home ground Pioneer Oval in Alexandra Street Parkes has seen some great pre-season trials of Sydney 1st grade teams and an International game between Australia and France in 1990.
Due to the success of a pre-season trial match between Sydney teams Parramatta Eels and Esatern Suburbs Rooster in 2005 which drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 12000, Pioneer Oval and the Parkes community hosted another pre-season trial between the Parramatta Eels and the Cronulla Sharks. This day was also a success with lead up games between the Western Academy, Riverina Academy, Group 11 and Group 10 teams and a ladies match between Canley Vale and the Western Ladies team. A highlight of the day was also the League of Legends parade prior to the 'big game' kick off. Over the years Parkes has played host to many outstanding games of league from school boy level to NRL games.
The Club has produced many players who have followed their dream to play rugby league at various levels. The future of rugby league is bright!
Sporting the mighty Parkes tri colours of White, Red, and Royal Blue the Parkes Marist Junior Rugby League Club has had increasing registrations over the past few years which has enabled the Club to field two teams in all age groups from the Under 6s to Under 14s. The Under 16s field one side. These extra teams have allowed even more players to enjoy the great game of Rugby League in Parkes.
The Parkes Marist Club was formed in 1986 after the almalgamation of two Junior rugby league clubs operating in Parkes who were struggling with numbers to field teams. With the amalgamation and the official voting in of the White,Red, and Royal blue colours a strong Club was formed. The first Parkes Marist teams took the field as a Club for the first time in the 1987.
