Norwest Strikers Hockey Club

Norwest Strikers Hockey Club is a sports club located in the Hills District of Sydney, Australia. Supported by the Baulkham Hills – Bankstown Sports clubs, the Norwest Strikers cater to players of all skill levels and ages, providing opportunities for both social and competitive hockey.

The club's catchment area extends from Windsor to Hornsby and down to Parramatta, making it accessible to players throughout the region. With a proud history spanning over 23 years, the Norwest Strikers have established themselves as a leading hockey club in Sydney.

The Norwest Strikers field 5–6 teams in the Sydney competition, including top League and Sydney League teams. The club also has affiliations with junior and women's grade teams, offering a comprehensive programme for players of all genders and ages. One of the club's major sponsors in 2023 is the Baulkham Hills Sports Club, and members are encouraged to support the sponsor whenever possible. The Norwest Strikers also prioritise affordable hockey development and offer a unique programme where coaches for teams at the club do not pay fees if they wish to play. Junior players who register and play junior hockey can also participate in senior hockey for an additional $100, fostering the development of hockey in the Hills at an affordable rate.

Training sessions for the Norwest Strikers take place on Thursday evenings from 8:30 pm to 10 pm at Pennant Hills Park. These sessions provide players with a structured and supportive environment to refine their skills and enhance their hockey abilities.

The club has a rich history of success, including producing five Australian Kookaburras (the men's national field hockey team) and winning three leading League elite titles. This track record showcases the Norwest Strikers' commitment to excellence and attracting top talent.
