Moruya Surf Life Saving Club is a sports club located on the beautiful south side of Moruya Heads in Eurobodalla Shire Council, Australia. With a beach that stretches 2. 5 km to a sand spit at Pedro Point, the club has been providing a safe swimming environment since its establishment in 1932. Its long and proud history has made it an integral part of both surf lifesaving and the local community.
Affiliated with Surf Life Saving Australia, Surf Life Saving New South Wales, and Surf Life Saving Far South Coast Branch, Moruya SLSC is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of lifesaving. Its volunteer surf lifesavers, easily recognised by their famous red and yellow caps and uniforms, are renowned both at home and abroad for their exceptional commitment to community service.
Moruya SLSC is also proud to offer a Nippers programme for children aged 5 to 14 years. Nippers is about more than just having fun; it's about learning new skills, gaining confidence, and fostering respect for the beach environment. Children in the programme are taught and assessed according to their age and ability, participating in activities such as swimming, board paddling, beach sprinting, dolphin-diving, and rip spotting.
