Kew Swimming Club is Victoria’s oldest swimming club. Established in 1925, we have a long, proud history of bringing out the best in young swimmers. Today, Kew Swimming Club is based at the indoor pool at Strathcona Girls’ Grammar in Canterbury, with training sessions also held in the 50m pool at the Boroondara Sports Complex in Balwyn North.
Our swimmers range in age from 7 years through to young adults. Our youngest squad members join ‘Super Fish’, a once a week squad programme especially designed to transition swimmers from the later stages of ‘learn to swim’ programmes into a competitive squad environment. Our Junior Development and State Development programmes are designed to build race skills, speed and endurance and prepare swimmers for training in the State and National levels.
Most of all, Kew Swimming Club prides itself on producing swimmers who just love to swim! A genuinely community-based club, we welcome swimmers of all abilities. Our outstanding coaching programmes enable our swimmers to reach their full potential – from beginner race skills right through to an elite, National level of competition.
