Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club, also known as Kenmore Bears, is a renowned sports club located in the Western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland. The club was established in 1965, around the same time Queensland Rugby established Ballymore as its headquarters. The primary objective behind the formation of Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club was to support the development of junior rugby in the Western suburbs. This strategic decision led to the creation of junior rugby clubs in Kenmore and Ashgrove, with Kenmore Bears being the first to emerge.
Since its inception, Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club has become a pillar of the local rugby community. The club's commitment to fostering the growth and development of young players is exemplified by its annual Under 12 tour to New Zealand, a tradition that has been upheld since 1980. This tour provides a valuable opportunity for young players to experience international competition and build lifelong memories.
Registration for the upcoming 2023 season is now open and can be done online through the Rugby Xplorer portal. The club offers various registration packages for different age groups, with fees covering club registration costs, governing body levies, and insurance. Discounts for families with multiple registered players are also available.
Membership with Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club comes with numerous benefits. Upon full payment of fees, players receive a 2023 Club Training Shirt, an end-of-season medallion or trophy, a Kenmore Bears sticker, access to professional coaching and support, qualified first aid at all home games, and player insurance provided by RA/QRU/BJRU. The club also organises an end-of-season fun day and provides sponsor discounts. Additionally, players receive a laminated team photo (for U6 to U14 age groups) and have the option to purchase compulsory club shorts and socks, while playing jerseys are provided on a team basis.
Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club takes great pride in its commitment to providing a positive and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.
