Western Suburbs Junior Australian Football Club, also known as Wests AFL Juniors, is a well-established sports club located in the Inner West of Sydney. Run entirely by volunteers, the club prides itself on its family-friendly environment and its commitment to providing a fun and safe space for kids to get involved in Australian Rules Football.
At Wests Juniors, the focus is on promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for children, as well as fostering friendships and a sense of camaraderie among players. The club offers opportunities for both boys and girls to participate, with mixed teams as well as boys and girls only teams available.
The AFL season typically runs from April to August, with training commencing in March. Registrations for the upcoming 2024 season open in November 2023. The club caters to various age groups, starting from Auskick for children aged 5 to 8, and progressing to junior and youth teams for ages 9 to 17.
For Auskick participants aged between 5 and 8, the registration fee is $162. 50, which includes a free AFL Auskick pack. Sibling discounts are available. For junior and youth participants aged 9 to 17, the registration fee is $200, with a discounted rate of $150 for those using an Active Kids voucher.
Sibling discounts are also applied at checkout.
Wagener Oval in Ashbury serves as the home ground for Wests Juniors.
