Collaroy Cougars Rugby Club, founded in 1970, is a sports club located in the picturesque Griffith Park, Long Reef in Sydney. With a rich history and a loyal following of parents and supporters, many of whom have been a part of the club themselves, the Collaroy Cougars provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages.
The club offers a range of programmes for boys and girls, starting from the Minis category (U6 – U9), where the emphasis is on fun and participation. The modified versions of the game played by the Minis ensure that children have a great time while learning the basic skills of rugby.
As players progress to Junior level (U10 – U17), they have the opportunity to compete in the SJRU Sunday competition, with occasional Friday night games for the younger age groups. This provides a platform for players to showcase their skills and develop a passion for the sport.
The club also has a dedicated Girls Rugby programme, offering both Girls Sevens and regular Sevens Rugby. Girls Sevens, in particular, is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and the Collaroy Cougars are proud to be part of this movement.
