Coogee Surf Life Saving Club offers a variety of opportunities for members to get involved. Individuals can become a Surf Lifesaver and actively participate in beach patrols, ensuring the safety of swimmers and providing assistance when needed. They can also join the Nippers programme, which is Australia's longest-running Junior Surf Life Saving Club, celebrating 50 years of operation. This programme provides young members with valuable surf lifesaving skills and fosters a love for the ocean.
In addition to its lifesaving services, the club also offers a range of sport, education, and function-related activities. Coogee SLSC has over 620 highly trained Surf Lifesavers who patrol Coogee Beach through fifteen designated patrols. These dedicated individuals make a significant contribution to community safety.
Coogee SLSC is proud to host a wide range of major events throughout the year, including both sporting-focused and community-oriented events. These events not only promote physical fitness and healthy competition but also bring the community together in a spirit of camaraderie.
