It is generally agreed that the formation of the Caboolture Rugby League Football Club occurred in 1947, even though social games were held prior to World War II. It was attributed to a number of Rugby League enthusiasts and players in the town but leading the drive with a relentless will to succeed was Bob Day.
By the start of the 1970s the club's junior ranks had blossomed and by 1978 the club was fielding up to 10 teams in the Commercial League. Henry Newman was a huge influence to the club's juniors over many years as coach or manager.
After venturing into the Sunshine Coast/Gympie Rugby League in 1982 Caboolture quickly gained a reputation as being one of the strongest clubs in the league. Two years after entering the SCGRL the Caboolture Juniors were allowed to form their own committee that consisted of Keith Gesler (President), John Simpson (Secretary) and June Logan (Treasurer).
