Baffle Creek Boat Club

The Baffle Creek Boat Club is a community sailing group located in the picturesque Gladstone Regional area of Australia. Run by dedicated local volunteers and friends, the club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for individuals and families to learn and participate in sailing and water activities.

Every Sunday at 10am, club members gather at the Flat Rock Picnic Ground, which is conveniently situated approximately 10 kilometres from Baffle Creek. Novices are particularly welcomed, as the club's main objective is to help beginners gain confidence on the water and learn the art of sailing. Families with young children will also find the club to be a suitable destination, with special emphasis placed on ensuring safety during activities.

One of the highlights of the year is the Baffle Creek Raft Race, a beloved community event held annually at the Baffle Creek Tavern during the Easter holiday period. The race not only supports the boat club but also contributes to the local community through various initiatives. However, at present, the Raft Race has been postponed due to the deteriorated condition of the Flat Rock Picnic Area. The club is actively engaged in negotiations with the Gladstone Regional Council to rectify this issue and reinstate the event.

The club offers various membership options, with fees set at $10 for individuals and $20 for families annually. These membership fees represent excellent value for access to the club's facilities and activities.
