Australian Taekwondo Academy - Marmion Coast

At the ATA Marmion Coast School, we strongly emphasise self-defence training, moral values and philosophy of the ancient predecessor of Taekwondo as well as modern martial arts and modern Taekwondo philosophy. We believe this is how our school stays unique, as most schools have moved away from traditional views of the art and the philsophy of the martial artist to make way for the Sport of Taekwondo.

Because of this, we believe self-defence should be practised as realistically as possible, as real life situations do not welcome the choice of an attacker rather, attacks can be random and seemingly unprovoked. Thus, we do not have separate women's, men's or children's classes. Our students learn to defend themselves against anyone and to communicate and socially interact with everyone.

Beginners do get separate tuition within class as required and our students are treated equally as individuals.


But, in order to succeed, in which you will learn throughout your time with us at ATA-Marmion Coast, you must abide by the basic tenets of Taekwondo:
Loyalty, Etiquette, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit and, Respect.
