Auburn Bowls Club, established in 1886, is a historic sports club located in the heart of Hawthorn East, Melbourne. Originally formed by Augustus Fritsch of the Fristch-Holzer brickworks in Hawthorn, the club has a long-standing history in the Boroondara area.
Situated conveniently close to public transport and local shopping villages, Auburn Bowls Club offers a welcoming and convenient location for members and visitors alike. Our clubrooms are available for hire, making them an ideal choice for functions and events. Guests have the option to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon or evening of barefoot bowls with friends, family, and colleagues.

For those interested in playing bowls, Auburn Bowls Club offers opportunities to join our various Pennant Bowls teams. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the sport, we have divisions to suit every level of experience. Currently, we have Pennant Divisions 3, 5, and 8 teams competing on Saturdays, as well as a Division 4 team on Tuesdays. Don't worry if you've never played before – everyone is welcome!
