Ashfield Pirates Football Club is a rapidly growing soccer club located in Ashfield, Sydney. Established in 2015 by Jean Kouriel, the club was created to cater to grassroots football and has since expanded to include all girls teams and All Age Men's teams.
The club has achieved notable recognition, including being awarded the “Crystal Cup award” in 2019 and winning the prestigious “Bert Harvey Fair Play Award” at the 2022 Football Canterbury's Volunteers Recognition Awards night. Ashfield Pirates FC offers a comprehensive development programme for players. All players are trained by qualified coaches and have the opportunity to compete in the Football Canterbury Association. The club caters to a range of age groups, from Under 8's to Under 19's for boys, girls, and mixed teams. Additionally, there are All Age Men's Division One and Two teams.
Prospective players are invited to attend trial sessions, which will take place on Sunday, November 19th and 26th, 2023, at Ashfield Park. In addition to the trials, Ashfield Pirates FC is offering a Winter Season for the One and Two divisions in 2024. Players who missed out on a spot in NPL or are looking to change clubs are encouraged to join the rapidly growing club. The season will be played in the Football Canterbury Association, and interested individuals can register their interest on the club's website.
For aspiring young soccer players aged 4-12, the club is offering a 30th August 2023 Miniroos Summer Training Programme. The programme runs for eight weeks, with sessions held every Tuesday or Thursday from 5pm to 6pm. Qualified coaches will provide instruction, and the cost is $150 per child. The programme accepts Active Kids vouchers, and participants can register online by visiting the club's website.
Ashfield Pirates FC also organises an annual Presentation Day, which will take place on 16th September 2023 at Ashfield Public School. The event will be split into two sessions, with Under 5 to Under 11 teams attending in the morning and Under 12 to Under 18 teams in the afternoon. All players are required to wear the Pirates Purple game uniform and will receive a medal, a sausage in a roll, and a bottle of water. Early Bird registration for the 2024 season will also be available on the day, along with special guest appearances.
Lastly, the club offers the 2023 Summer season through the FC Summer Sixes programme. Registration for the season is now open for all players from Under 7's to All Age Men's and Women's teams. The games are played at Rudd Park on Synthetic Fields and participants can register online through the club's website.
