    About

    Term 2 Junior Basketball Academy:

    Day            Tuesdays

    Time           4.00pm-5.30pm

    Venue         Marden Basketball Centre

We are introducing our ‘Advanced-Intermediate Academy’ for Term 2 at the Marden Basketball Centre. This Academy will coincide with our Intermediate Academy from 4:00pm to 5:30pm every Tuesday. The maximum number of participants will be 12 players.

An ‘Intermediate player’ typically has a solid understanding of basic basketball concepts and fundamentals. They can dribble shoot, and defend competently, but may lack consistency and polish in their execution. These players have a basic understanding the game’s strategies and principles.

However, an ‘Advanced-Intermediate player’ demonstrates a higher level of skill refinement and consistency. They can execute more advanced moves and techniques with greater precision and effectiveness. They have a better understanding of how to apply their skill sets in game situations. Players that fall within this category, also possess a deeper basketball IQ, allowing them to anticipate plays, exploit defensive weaknesses and make smarter decisions on the court.

Our Academies are skilled based.  We pride ourselves on getting our kids quality repetitions for the areas of their games that need improvement. Furthermore, once they have acquired &/or improved their skill sets, they must also learn how, when & where to apply these skills in game situations. We address these essentials too, through modified, purposeful games.

At Brooks Basketball Services our ‘No Kid Left Behind’ philosophy means we believe that ‘No Kid’ should miss out on sport, in particular basketball, due to financial challenges, a lack of coaching or low confidence and self-esteem.

Throughout our programs, we focus on ensuring that all kids are given a safe, positive and encouraging environment to have a go, maybe make mistakes, try to improve their skills and finally to grow in confidence, no matter what level they are currently playing in the game of basketball.
